Prayer of St Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned;
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
With the elections virtually upon us thought this quotation from Alan Paton’s book, ‘Instrument of Thy Peace’ very significant:
“You must hope for the best and prepare for the worst.”
As “inspired/led” from
(see great South African writer, Alan Paton’s * book ‘Instrument of Thy Peace)

“totally impulsive” c
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console
not so much to be understood as to understand…
and not so much to be loved as to love.”
Pictures ( great) by my old friend John (“the world’s third worst photographer”, so he calls himself), but whose photographic talents I definitely do NOT possess)!
Shared by craig “the world’s fourth worst writer, absolutely worst photographer and worst selling author/writer ”,

(well my friends and family say I’m “safest and best kept out of harm’s way” just writing and encouraging others)
Share, encourage and spread HOPE, LOVE and LIGHT
