Here’s a “quickie” first draft (to keep practising on the publishing process)

by Ray Carruthers

Submitter’s Note

Just getting a new book started on thoughts of “the nurse”, written down and compiled over the years. These thoughts have sustained, uplifted, encouraged and ‘even inspired” me on the long and often tortuous journey, that is called life.

She’s very different to me and not just in gender: a very ‘normal and efficient + very very private par…er sorry, “purrson”. So I daren’t let her know what I’m doing (like most things, especially writing and what I post on the net
A “totally impulsive (and non-foozy”*) writer
• =A Carruthers family word/joke

A thought/title for a new book:. ‘SEX for Dummies!’

As “the nurse” (who loves reading so much, that I’m amazed the book pages don’t catch fire) says to me (often): “You’re not like other writers (‘real ones’, ‘normal’, intellectual, “arty-farty-airy fairey types: You don’t think about what you’re going to write. You’re just driven, passionate, obsessive, impatient and impulsive (totally)… and only write with a purpose…to try to make a small bit of difference in the world.”
from a Google search (my “filing system to rescue me from sheer utter chaos” – thanks “Big G”)…
and by that I mean God (far more than Google)… but then perhaps I should thank both!

“C, you are so impatient. ‘Real/proper’ writers develop structure carefully…You just write (and share) what’s in your head… without thinking, eg consequences!”

“Whilst the brain injury may significantly affect/impact many areas of your life…
You are not defined by your traumatic brain injury”
“Don’t let your tbi define you!”
(thanks, m)
“The nurse” says the title of my life story should be ‘Unleashed Chaos’
“You just write so impulsively (totally), ‘from the heart’ … without thinking of the consequences, like your letters to newspapers (in South Africa) that set/started you off on the writing journey.”

“Your only disability may be your attitude!”

“Don’t let what you can’t do. stop you from doing what you can do…best.”
from Google searches (thanks for rescuing me from “sheer utter chaos”, Big G!* (and by that I’m referring to both God and Google, but probably far more the first)
“You’re not disabled (limited) by your disabilities, you are able (enabled) by your abilities.”

“Your readers have absolutely no idea of the difficulties you have getting by with the basics of daily living.”
Sharing, supporting, informing, enlightening, “entertaining”(??), encouraging, empowering, enriching, challenging, igniting, uplifting (and perhaps even) inspiring

(Enough there for now, Ray!)
“Bonus” quote for you (definitely NOT from “the nurse”)
My good friend Lindsay (“the Prophet and the Prayer-warrior”) often said to me(especially just before he died).… “When I’m ‘the gatekeeper’ in heaven sitting next to Jesus, I’ll turn to Him and tell Him straight, ‘send that fella back straight to where he came from. He’s trouble- BIG!’”
RIP (my friend)
(Do a ‘Google’ when you “get a mo”, c

“I can’t do much about all the suffering in the world #, but all I can do is perhaps add a little touch of creativity, hope, ‘beauty and magic’, that I hope may uplift and encourage others…even if it’s just ONE person.”
I can’t do much about all the suffering in the world, but … – Craig’s Quotes

My family and friends say I’m taking up ALL the space on the internet with my various posts and blogs (and “taking over” the www??)…
so get your own internet, you “fairy” (thanks, Monty Python!).

from a Google search (my “filing system to rescue me from sheer utter chaos” – thanks “Big G”)…
and I mean God (far more than Google)… but then perhaps I should thank both!

“Life is far too important (a subject) to be taken too seriously!”

Time for a change in tone now (as the story is getting “far too silly”)…

Best wishes from the First City to see the light
light great

Though my family and close friends say it would be far more entertaining with a video-camera* in the “real world”, rather than in cyberspace!)
    * By the way, do they still make them in today’s ever-faster changing world..or is it all done with mobile phones?

(get with the times now,”luddite”* c – it should be a smart phone)

    * or so I was often called by my “my techno-geek” friend, Bill (“the gonk”)

Now back to the message I was posting before I got distracted

    enjoy anyway

I’ve had many many hundreds of thousands (even “zillions”) of comments on my various other WordPress blogs at https://craigsblogs.wordpress.com/2011/09/09/craigs-list-of-blogs-updated-sept-2011/
in recent years …true!). A few of my blogs went “balistically viral” a few years back and I got swamped with comments on my various blogs… so had to close them all off.

Obsessive or WHAT! Am really pleased you are enjoying my writings, as the reason I write is to share.

Though I’m rather “driven”, I still get really, really fatigued (there’s a few books there). So sorry can’t reply individually to all you good people scattered around the planet. As mentioned (stop repeating yourself, c – bad writing…otherwise the first signs of approaching senility!), I was unable to keep up with the comments and was spending entire days just on replies on my various blog pages, so had to close them off on all of my blogs, except for one or two of particular interest to me.
